The air conditioning unit you select for your new system, or as a replacement, is just a part of your year around comfort system. When selecting your new unit, a number of factors must be considered to deliver a perfect result:

Budget, Sizing, and System Matching

  • Brand: While we feel strongly the contractor you chose for your new installation is more important than the sticker on the outdoor unit, different HVAC manufacturers offer different levels of efficiency, features, warranties, and pricing. We feature Carrier, Lennox, and Goodman central air conditioning systems.
  • Proper Sizing: Sizing you HVAC system properly is critical. Our HVAC tech will carefully calculate a cooling load and determine the proper unit sizing. You might think a bigger AC system is better but thats not true. A unit that is too big will not only unnecessarily cost more, but will also fail to properly dehumidify and will be noisier.
  • What features and SEER rating is for you?: All of today's AC choices are at least 50% more efficient than those available 15 years ago. However there is a wide range of efficiencies and features that we offer. You choice will be based on your immediate budget, how long you expect to live in your home, what features like staging and sound ratings are considered valuable, and if system financing is an option.
  • Matching your new condenser: Your new outdoor unit is only a part of your new AC system. In virtually all cases a new outdoor unit needs to be matched with a new efficient indoor DX coil. Adding a compatible air handler or gas furnace will complete a AHRI matched efficient system.
